Last week’s post had five tips for how to deal with the packrat in your life. This week I thought I would post links to a few places that might help you (and your packrat) work together to trim down clutter.
I like this first article because it starts with items that most people have too much of and most everyone can manage to discard without too much angst. (Also, the first photograph, a kitchen drawer with a kind of feng shui purity, is inspiring.)
For many packrats, finding ways to make sure that the discarded items are things that “someone could use” and that they won’t “go to waste” are key in the process. This article suggests places to get rid of things where these altruistic criteria will be satisfied.
Here are links to a couple of our own posts with tips for getting rid of specific kinds of items that may be helpful as you begin to gear up for the task of spring cleaning.
Spring is not too far away. Good luck in your preparations for spring cleaning!
